Vineyards

Almost four millennia of Savatiano

In the Mesogeia Land of Attica, the grape variety Savatiano has been cultivated for almost 4.000 years.

The family vineyards cover an area over ten hectares. They are linearly placed, forming a double Royat, giving a low yield per plant.

The white grape varieties are Savatiano and Roditis. The red is Mandilaria.

The soil is mostly clayey sand (SC), slightly alkaline.

The climate is temperate Mediterranean with hot, dry summers and mild winters.
